GUANGZHOU — Commercial Aircraft Corp. of China (COMAC) delivered a C909 passenger jet to Lao Airlines, the second foreign carrier to receive the homegrown Chinese plane, as the state-owned manufacturer ramps up marketing abroad.
The aircraft, which was received by Laos’ state-run airline last week, has a range of 2,225 km to 3,700 km and 90 economy-class seats, with an image of a frangipani, the country’s national flower, decorating the tail. Lao Airlines is leasing the plane, which will enter service as a regional jet once preparations are complete.
