BENGALURU — U.S. President Donald Trump’s sweeping tariffs have doused hopes of an immediate rebound in Indian software exports, with bellwether Tata Consultancy Services reporting underwhelming growth in the Janu-March quarter as clients rein in their technology expenditures.

India’s largest software exporter said revenue fell 0.9% sequentially to $7.47 billion in its last quarter, while net profit fell 2.7% to $1.42 billion. Financial advisory Centrum had expected revenue to slip 0.6%.
