TOKYO — Mizuho Bank plans to start a program in May that provides business loans to small and medium-sized enterprises throughout Japan, Nikkei has learned.

With guarantees from financial services provider Orix, the bank will offer unsecured loans of up to 100 million yen ($700,000) per company to more than 40,000 businesses.
