TOKYO — rge Glass, the newly appointed U.S. ambassador to Japan and a major financial backer of President Donald Trump, landed in Tokyo on Friday with the countries engaging in tough negotiations over trade and tariffs.
Upon arriving at Haneda International Airport with his wife, M, the ambassador told reporters he is “extremely optimistic” that the governments will strike a deal.
