Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Turkiye on Tuesday for a two-day official visit. He was welcomed in Ankara by the Turkish defence minister. Accompanying him were Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Atta Tarar, and Tariq Fatemi.
During the visit, PM Shehbaz will meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. They will talk about issues related to both countries, the region, and the world. A joint press conference is also planned.
The Prime Minister will also meet Turkish businesspeople and investors to encourage trade and explore new investment opportunities between the two countries. This visit is seen as important for strengthening the close and friendly relationship between Pakistan and Turkiye.
A few days earlier, PM Shehbaz spoke at the ‘Health Engineering and Minerals Show’ held in Lahore by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan. He stressed the government’s goal of reviving the economy and pushing for progress in technology.
The event brought together key figures from local and international markets. He said the government wants to give young people more chances to explore opportunities in areas like IT, AI, engineering, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and minerals.
