ANF continues crackdown against drug smuggling
ISLAMABAD: Anti-Narcotic Force (ANF) has continued crackdown against drug traffickers in various cities across the country.
ANF spokesman said eight suspects including two women arrested in nine operations conducted in different cities of the country in which a total of 76 kg of drugs worth over 48.3 million recovered in operations.
The ANF team recovered 26 grams of weed were recovered from a parcel sent from the UK at a courier office in Chaklala area Rawalpindi.
Similarly, near the Islamabad Motorway two kilograms of heroin, 3.6 kilograms of hashish, and 1.6 kilograms of ice (crystal meth) were recovered from the bags of two women.
In the Karachi Company area of Islamabad, 1.2 kilograms of heroin were recovered from a suspect.
At a courier office in Aabpara Market, Islamabad, 100 grams of heroin and 560 grams of ice were recovered from a parcel destined for Australia.
500 grams of ice were recovered from a vehicle, and the suspect was arrested near the Burhan Motorway Interchange in Attock.
In Multan, 36 grams of cocaine were recovered from a parcel being sent to Karachi at a cargo office.
In the Bhedian Kalan area of Kasur, 7 kilograms of ice were recovered from three motorcycle riders.
In Sambrial area of Sialkot, 250 grams of hashish and 200 grams of ice were recovered from a suspect.
In an uninhabited area of Dara Goth, Lasbela, 43.2 kilograms of hashish and 15.8 kilograms of heroin hidden for smuggling purposes were recovered.
ANF Spokesperson stated cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and investigations have been initiated.
