MUMBAI — Shares in Indian electric scooter maker Ather Energy rose 2% in their public market debut on Tuesday, after the country’s third-largest initial public offering this year, one worth 29.8 billion rupees ($353 million), was completed last week.

Ather opened at 328 rupees per share on the National Stock Exchange, compared to its IPO price of 321 rupees. The IPO price would give the company a market capitalization of 119.6 billion rupees.
