BRUSSELS — Japan is considering taking part in the European Union’s flagship research and development program, in a potential boon to technological innovation at the country’s companies and universities.
The EU has proposed that Japan join the Horizon Europe program from 2026, which means both sides need to reach an agreement by the end of this year.
