TOKYO — Japan is working to help refugees from Afghanistan and elsewhere in the country to settle down and find work, with volunteers from the private sector helping with resumes and interviews.
An Afghan man in his 30s who started working at a Tokyo-based energy company in July last year told Nikkei he is happy to be able to do work that suits his area of expertise. He works as an engineer in underground exploration, supporting his wife and their one-year-old son.
