HONG KONG — U.S. President Donald Trump’s initial trade war with China triggered a wave of manufacturers to move production elsewhere in order to bypass tariffs.
Despite this week’s drastic climbdown of tariffs on Chinese goods, companies plan to double down on investments in Asia’s manufacturing hotspots, accelerating the reshuffling of global supply chains.
