TAIPEI — AT&S, one of the world’s top five suppliers of chip substrates, will continue investing in Malaysia despite U.S. tariff uncertainties disrupting the global tech supply chain, an executive told Nikkei Asia in an exclusive interview.

AT&S’s first factory in Kulim recently began high-volume production, and the company expects more opportunities in Malaysia, according to Ingolf Schroder, AT&S executive board member and executive vice president of microelectronics.
