Global investors 'enthusiastic' about Japan: Carlyle executives Global investors 'enthusiastic' about Japan: Carlyle executives

NEW YORK — Investors around the globe are “incredibly enthusiastic about Japan,” the Carlyle Group’s co-chairman David Rubenstein and its CEO Harvey Schwartz told Nikkei in an exclusive interview. The U.S. investment company’s executives cited the Tokyo Stock Exchange’s rule changes and the country’s relatively low interest rates as reasons for the enthusiasm.

While acknowledging that U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariff policies pose headwinds, the Carlyle senior managers added that Washington’s strongest partner is Japan.
