TOKYO — The International Monet Fund revised up its regional growth outlook in 2024 for Asia and Pacific by 0.1 percentage point to 4.6%, compared to its last outlook in April, but cautioned that geopolitical tensions, China’s property market correction and other factors risk dragging that down.

For Asia and the Pacific, the “short-term prospects are somewhat more favorable than expected in April,” the IMF said in its latest regional economic outlook released Friday, adding that the region is expected to contribute roughly 60% to global growth this year.
