TOKYO — The U.K., Japan and Italy are willing to bring more countries into their effort to develop a next-generation stealth fighter jet as long as they can contribute to achieving the goal, Britain’s defense procurement chief said.
The Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) nations “have always said that they’re open to the possibility of others joining, if it can help us deliver that next-generation fighter,” Maria Eagle said in an interview here Wednesday.
