KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department on Saturday predicted hot and humid weather in Karachi city.
According to PMD, the minimum temperature recorded this morning was 29°C while the humidity level stood at 69%, contributing to a sticky atmosphere.
The maximum temperature is expected to reach 37°C. However, due to high humidity, the feels-like temperature may rise by 2 to 4 degrees, making conditions more uncomfortable.
Currently, the actual temperature is 32°C, but it feels more like 35°C due to the moisture-laden air. A southwesterly wind is blowing at 15 kilometers per hour. The skies are clear and there is no forecast for rain today.
A heat wave has gripped most of Sindh, excluding the coastal areas. This intense hot spell is expected to persist across the country until May 24. Residents are advised to take precautions against the high temperatures and humidity.
