According to the Meteorological Department, Karachi will experience extremely hot and humid weather over the next 24 hours. The mercury is likely to stay between 39°C and 40°C degrees Celsius.
However, the intensity of the heat could feel as high as 45 degrees Celsius in areas near the sea, with strong sunshine and sea breezes persisting throughout the day.
Currently, winds are blowing from the west at 16 kilometers per hour in Karachi, and the humidity in the air is 72 percent. These conditions contribute to the perceived heat, making it feel even hotter than the actual temperature.
For the rest of the country, the Meteorological Department forecasts hot and dry weather in most areas during the next 24 hours. Despite this, strong winds, thunderstorms, and rain have also been predicted in some specific locations across the nation.
Islamabad & Surrounding Areas: Strong winds, thunderstorms, and rain are expected, with isolated heavy rain and hail.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Mostly hot and dry, but isolated thunderstorms are possible in Dir, Swat, Malakand, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, and Peshawar.
Punjab: Plains will experience intense heat. Light to moderate rain is likely in Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, and Khushab. Bhakkar, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Layyah may also see rain with gusty winds and thunderstorms.
Sindh & Balochistan: Most districts will remain under intense heat and dry weather.
Kashmir & Gilgit-Baltistan: Rain with strong winds and thunderstorms is anticipated, with a possibility of heavy rain and hail in some parts of Kashmir.
