Car, motorcycle and LTV driving license fees ahead of Budget 2025-26
The Traffic Police department in Punjab is the competent authority to issue driving licenses to eligible persons after they pass the tests.
It is mandatory for citizens to obtain a driving license from the department before taking the vehicles to roads as heavy fines are imposed on violations.
The driving license for motorcycles cars or other vehicles are issued to those who passed all practical and theoretical tests conducted by the traffic police.
The applicants are also required to deposit a certain amount in wake of fee, which may v due to the type of the license. Last year, the Punjab government revised up the license fee massively. The provincial government will unveil the budget next month while it is not clear whether the license fees will be increased or not.
The traffic officials can demand the license from drivers anytime for verification and they can issue challans to them for not carrying the document.
Car+Motorcycle Driving License Fee
The traffic police will charge Rs150 in wake of Test fee from each applicant. Furthermore, the fee for one-year driving license stands at Rs1,830 while it will be Rs3,660 for two years. The candidate will have to pay Rs200 in wake of Test fee separately.
Similarly, the per year fee for regular driving license in LTV category stands at Rs2,330 while Rs150 will be collected in wake of Test fee.
Candidates can make regular license for the period of 1 year, 2 year, 3 year, 4 year or 5 year maximum.

After selecting the e-license option, you need to add your CNIC number and date of birth. Later, click the download button and you will get the PDF copy of the license.
