Eid-ul-Azha 2025 will be celebrated on Saturday, June 7, 2025, across Pakistan, it has been confirmed by the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.

Eid-ul-Azha is an important Islamic festival that includes prayers, giving to charity, and the sacrifice of animals. It is celebrated with strong religious spirit to honor the great sacrifice made by Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Ismail (AS).

During Eid-ul-Azha, the need for fresh currency notes is usually less compared to Eid-ul-Fitr, when giving Eidi to children is a common tradition. On this occasion, the main focus is on buying sacrificial animals, which often takes attention away from the custom of giving Eidi.

Still, many children look forward to getting crisp, new notes as it adds to the fun of the celebration and lets them buy sweets, toys, or small gifts. Although not as common as during Eid-ul-Fitr, receiving fresh currency is still a happy part of the festival for many kids.

People can get bundles of new currency notes from banks or from the open market. Banks provide them without any extra charges, but in the open market, sellers make a profit.
