Bilawal, Gilani extend Eid ul Azha greetings
LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani extended heartfelt Eid al-Azha greetings to the nation, urging citizens to uphold the true values of sacrifice, compassion and unity associated with the sacred festival.
In his special message issued here on Saturday on the occasion of Eid, Bilawal said, “Eid al-Adha conveys a message of sacrifice, compassion and solidarity.” He stressed that the festival is not just a ritual, but a reminder to work collectively towards building a peaceful and just society.
He highlighted the importance of setting aside personal interests for the greater good, saying, “Sacrificing personal interests for the collective good is the true spirit of Eid.”
Bilawal called upon the public to remember and support the underprivileged segments of society, particularly the poor, orphans, and those suffering due to poverty, climate-related disasters or conflict.
He emphasized that the true celebration of Eid lies in sharing joy with those who are less fortunate.
Reaffirming his party’s commitment to social justice, the PPP Chairman stated, “We are committed to building a welfare state in Pakistan based on equality,” and stressed that no Pakistani should be left behind due to financial constraints. “This is our mission,”he added.

Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has extended heartfelt Eid-ul-Azha greetings to Muslims across the world, calling it a time to remember the spirit of sacrifice and devotion.
In his message, Chairman Gilani said Eid-ul-Azha reminds us of the deep faith of Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.) and the willingness of Prophet Ismail (A.S.) to sacrifice for Allah’s command.
This event, he said, sets a lasting example of obedience and dedication that continues to inspire Muslims around the world.
He highlighted that the true message of Eid lies in selflessness and sacrifice, values that are essential for the progress of any nation. “We must give up personal interests and work together for the betterment of our country and society,” he added.
Chairman Gilani called for unity beyond political divisions and stressed that Pakistan, built on great sacrifices, needs collective efforts for its development and prosperity.Drones

Gilani also asked the nation to pray for the oppressed people of Palestine and Indian-occupied Kashmir, expressing hope that Allah will ease their suffering.
