SUKKUR: A Pakistani Hindu couple who had recently relocated to India in search of a better future were tragically found murdered in their Mumbai residence.

According to the victims’ family, father of the deceased woman, Sapna, stated that his daughter and son-in-law, Sanjay, had moved to India only a few months ago.

On the day of the incident, the family received a distressing phone call from Mumbai Police informing them that the couple had been found stabbed to death inside their home. The couple’s two children have reportedly been taken into protective custody by Mumbai Police.

According to the father of the deceased man, Sanjay had established a successful dry fruit business in Mumbai. However, Indian police are currently citing multiple possible motives for the double homicide and have yet to provide definitive answers.

Ishwarlal, a prominent leader of the local Hindu Panchayat, expressed concern that Indian authorities may delay justice in the case.

He called on both governments to facilitate the repatriation of the bodies to Pakistan, so that the last rites can be performed in their homeland.
