NEW YORK — President-elect Donald Trump’s imminent return to the White House is raising concerns among many Hong Kongers in the U.S. that they could be deported if their tempor legal status is not renewed by Febru.
U.S.-based Hong Kong activists and rights organizations have been lobbying President Joe Biden’s administration, which transfers power to Trump in Janu, to renew the Deferred Enforced Departure program for thousands of Hong Kong citizens before it expires.
