Gold prices see sharp increase in global and local markets
KARACHI: The price of gold witnessed a significant surge on Thursday, with an increase of Rs. 4,000 per tola.
The new price of one tola of gold has reached Rs. 356,900.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs. 3,433, taking the rate to Rs. 305,984.
In the international market, gold also saw an upward trend, with a $30 increase pushing the price per ounce to $3,375.
Earlier, a slight uptick was recorded in gold prices across the country.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs600 per tola, reaching Rs352, 900.
Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of gold increased by Rs514, now standing at Rs302,297.
On the international front, the price of gold also witnessed a modest gain of $6, bringing the global rate to $3,345 per ounce.
