Iran hangs man convicted of spying for Israeli Mossad
TEHRAN: Iran has executed a man convicted of spying for Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad, according to Fars News Agency.
The agency confirmed that the individual, identified as Ismail Fekri, was hanged after being found guilty of espionage. Authorities allege he had been providing intelligence to Mossad, posing a serious threat to national security.
The execution underscores the heightened tensions and deepening hostilities between Tehran and Tel Aviv, amid an already volatile regional conflict.
On the other hand, according to the Iranian news agency, Ismail Fekri was hanged on Monday morning while he was arrested in December.
Iran alleged that Ismail was in contact with Fekri Mossad’s two agents and was providing them intelligence information.
It is to be noted that this is the third case of Israel’s death for spying in recent weeks.
