Tehran: Israel has launched an attack on the building of Iran’s state television, with footage of the incident appearing during a live broadcast.

Israeli strikes in Tehran are ongoing, and the latest target was the headquarters of Iran’s national broadcaster. Reports suggest that several employees have been killed in the attack.

During the live transmission on Iranian state TV, an explosion was seen on air, followed by visible panic and the anchorwoman reacting to the blast.

Earlier, the Israeli Defense Forces posted a message in Persian on social media platform X, warning that “being in District 3 may put your life at risk.” The statement also said that milit assets of the Iranian government in that area would be targeted within the next few hours.

District 3 is one of Tehran’s most densely populated and affluent areas. It hosts many residential and official buildings, including the offices of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB). The area also contains key government installations, diplomatic buildings, and offices, making it a potential target for Israeli strikes.

Following the attack, Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a counter-warning to residents of Tel Aviv, urging them to evacuate immediately.

According to Iranian state media, this move was taken to ensure the safety and protection of civilians. It comes shortly after Israel warned people in Tehran’s District 3 to evacuate due to the threat of milit action.

In its statement, the IRGC emphasized that public safety is a top priority under the current tense conditions and assured that any aggression by the enemy will be responded to at the right time and in the right way.
