ISLAMABAD: Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu has expressed gratitude to National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq for acknowledging the Pakistan Air Force’s (PAF) role in responding to Indian aggression.

In a letter addressed to the Speaker, the Air Chief lauded Ayaz Sadiq’s “effective and wise leadership” in fostering national unity during a critical time, and appreciated the strong parliament stance against Indian hostilities.

He stated that the PAF is deeply thankful for the parliament leadership’s unwavering support and solidarity with Pakistan’s armed forces. The expression of unity by members of the National Assembly in favor of the PAF, he said, is a matter of pride.

Air Chief Marshal Sidhu emphasized that the recognition from Parliament and the nation for PAF’s timely and decisive response to Indian aggression is unforgettable. He added that PAF’s success is a result of divine blessing and the unity of the nation, which thwarted enemy designs.

He reiterated that protecting the country’s airspace is a sacred national duty and reaffirmed PAF’s full commitment to achieving national objectives.

With the nation’s full backing, Pakistan’s armed forces are fully capable of confronting any challenge, he said, adding that the PAF remains ever-ready to defend the country’s aerial frontiers.

This letter was a response to an earlier communication from Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, in which he had praised both Field Marshal, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir and Air Chief Marshal Sidhu for their courageous and professional response to Indian provocations.

The Speaker had also assured Parliament’s unwavering support and solidarity with the armed forces, particularly acknowledging the bravery and skill of the Pakistan Air Force.
