LAHORE: Karachi Kings made strategic picks in the Silver category during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 Player Draft, selecting pace bowler Mir Hamza and Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das.
Mir Hamza, who was recently released by the Kings in preparation for the draft, made a strong comeback as their first pick in the Silver category. Known for his swing bowling with the new ball, Hamza has proven to be an asset in the PSL, taking 23 wickets in 20 matches.
Following this, Karachi Kings secured Litton Das, a 30-year-old Bangladeshi batter known for his calm composure and aggressive batting style. Das has a solid record of 2020 runs in international T20 matches, including 11 half-centuries from 95 T20I appearances. Overall, his career stats boast 5123 runs in 227 T20 games, solidifying his place as a dynamic run-scorer.
Mir Hamza and Litton Das will join the Karachi Kings’ already-retained players, including young all-rounder Arafat Minhas, New Zealand’s Tim Seifert, and wrist spinner Zahid Mehmood.
Arafat Minhas will not only contribute on the field but also represent the Kings as their brand ambassador. Tim Seifert adds depth to the squad as a versatile wicketkeeper-batsman, while Zahid Mehmood’s retention strengthens the spin department.
