ITP launches flower and candy campaign for traffic awareness

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) launched a special flower and candy campaign on Wednesday aimed at promoting community policing and educating citizens on traffic laws.

The initiative, organized by the education wing of ITP, focused on raising awareness about driver safety and the importance of cautious driving across various neighborhoods in Islamabad.

Instead of issuing fines, the campaign targeted drivers who violated traffic rules and instead offered them flowers and candies, gently addressing their mistakes.

The goal was to communicate the errors in a more positive and engaging manner, encouraging drivers to follow the laws in the future.

Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad, Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, highlighted that this campaign is part of ITP’s effort to build better relationships with citizens while emphasizing the need for strict adherence to traffic laws.

He expressed hope that such initiatives would not only raise awareness but also reduce traffic-related accidents.

The ongoing campaign has already received positive feedback from the public, with citizens appreciating ITP’s approach to enforcement and expressing hope for better law compliance on the roads.
