FRANKFURT, Germany — Nearly half of all nuclear reactors under construction are in China, with the country’s generation capacity projected to exceed that of both the European Union and the U.S. by 2030, according to the International Energy Agency.

Of the 63 reactors under construction worldwide, with a generating capacity of 71 gigawatts, 29 are in China, the IEA said in a report published Thursday.
