Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday emphasized the importance of meticulous preparations to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for pilgrims during Hajj 2025, warning that negligence in the process would not be tolerated.
During a high-level meeting to review the upcoming Hajj season arrangements, the prime minister directed officials to provide a detailed briefing in the coming days. This briefing will include the selection process for Hajj assistants, their responsibilities, and other critical preparations.
Federal Ministers Ahad Khan Cheema, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and senior officials attended the meeting, where progress on the Hajj Fund was discussed. Officials informed the PM that the fund was nearing completion.
It was also announced that, as in previous years, pilgrims would be provided with SIM cards and access to the Hajj mobile application to enhance their experience.
The prime minister reaffirmed his commitment to offering the “best training facilities” for pilgrims and directed that only competent and reputable officers be assigned to Hajj duties.
“Pilgrims are guests of Allah, and any negligence in serving them is unacceptable,” he stated.
Mr. Sharif emphasized maintaining high standards in accommodations, transportation, and other facilities. He also stressed the importance of ensuring transparency and merit in the selection of Hajj assistants.
He urged officials to expedite preparations and ensure the flawless execution of all arrangements. The prime minister reiterated the government’s commitment to providing a safe, comfortable, and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience for all pilgrims.
