SEOUL — South Korea’s detained President Yoon Suk Yeol attended a hearing at the Constitutional Court on Tuesday, defending himself over his declaration of a short-lived martial law in early December.

Yoon testified as the Constitutional Court deliberates an impeachment case against him after more than two-thirds of lawmakers voted to impeach him and suspend him from duty a month ago. There have been three hearings at the court, but this was the first time that Yoon himself attended.
