Hallmark star Brennan Elliott announces death of wife Camilla Row after stomach cancer battle

Elliott wrote that he and their children — 12-year-old son Liam and 10-year-old daughter Luna — “lost our rock.”

He described Row as “a person who not only was the love of my life,my soulmate,my best friend and lover but the toughest strongest fearless person I have ever met in my life and the greatest mother to her babies.”

“The pain she endured only I might know but assure all who loved her she is in peace with no more pain,” he added. “You are with the lord now my queen! You are free! Heaven is a far better place with you in it my love.”

Elliott shared his gratitude to Row for “being the best wife,mother and friend” he’s ever known, and for being an advocate to the gastric cancer community, calling her impact “immeasurable.”

“For any of you who met or knew her your life was blessed because of her presence,” he wrote. “I love and am in love and will always be in love with you my baby! I know u r dancing and are on vacation in heaven and free from the grips of cancer.”

Elliott received an outpouring of support in the comment section for his late wife, who he had been married to since September 10, 2011, per People.

The official Instagram account for the Hallmark Channel wrote, “We are heartbroken for you and your family. We are so sorry.”

“Mate, sending you and the family all the love & strength there is in the world,” fellow Hallmark star Will Kemp wrote. “My arms are flying across seas to hug you tight my friend.”

Actor Cameron Mathison wrote that Elliott’s post “brought me to tears,” adding, “We’ve talked many times through her journey and I just love you all so much. I’m so so sorry for your loss and may you hold onto her beautiful memories for a lifetime.”

“My man I’m so so so sorry,” actor Adam Demos added. “Sending you and the family so much love!”

Over the years, Elliott has publicly championed his wife amid her cancer journey. In a June 2023 Instagram post to mark National Cancer Survivors Day, the actor shared his pride for Row, calling her a “warrior queen.”

“She is an absolutely incredible woman and fighter,” he wrote, later adding, “As a #caregiver to my beautiful wife I have witnessed strength and a warrior spirit that I never thought humanly possible. It has made me a better human being and man to watch and witness your warrior spirit my love!”

What did Camilla Row share about her battle with stage 4 gastric cancer?

While Row, a clinical psychologist, kept her social media private, she kept a compilation of stories in her bio detailing her experience with gastric cancer, which is also referred to as stomach cancer.

In November 2023, she posted a nearly 20-minute-long video on YouTube about her cancer journey, which had been presented at the My Gut Feeling conference. 

Row previously detailed her story to TODAY.com in Febru 2024, sharing that for two years, she reported persistent feelings of heartburn to her doctors.

She adjusted her lifestyle and diet choices based on doctor recommendations, but the feeling didn’t go away. At one point, Row said that she felt like she was having heart attacks and begged her prim care physician for help.

“I was actually crying. I’m like, ‘This hurts so bad, please don’t send me home,’” Row recalled.

After a doctor scheduled an endoscopy, she was officially diagnosed with gastric adenocarcinoma in 2018. Throughout her battle with cancer, Row underwent several procedures, including removing her entire stomach and 47 lymph nodes, leading to a diagnosis of stage 1 cancer.

Row received CT scans every six months to monitor any recurrences of cancer and took a blood test that searched for circulating tumor DNA, which came back positive in 2021.

Doctors discovered tumors on her ovaries that had gastric cancer origins, despite not having a stomach anymore. Row underwent surgery to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes and was then diagnosed as Stage 4.

“I’ve actually just surpassed my expiration date because when I was first diagnosed (with stage 4 cancer), the longest prognosis I got was 24 months,” Row said at the time. “So to be here and say I’m still here, I’m still doing extremely well.”
