TOKYO — Microsoft is considering the development of its own high-performance artificial intelligence platform model, CEO Satya Nadella said. While the tech giant has been using the technology of ChatGPT, a generative AI developed by OpenAI of the U.S., having its propriet platform will make it easier to provide services optimized for its business software.

Nadella unveiled the plan during an interview with Nikkei and its group company TV Tokyo. “We will build our own capability to complement all of what we’re doing with OpenAI,” Nadella said. Microsoft will offer such technology through its own business software if it determines that the service can bring added value to customers, he added.
