Seven benches to hear cases in Supreme Court
The Supreme Court has issued its judicial roster for the coming week, announcing the formation of seven benches to begin hearing cases from Monday.
According to the roster, Bench One will be headed by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi, alongside Justice Shafi Siddiqui and Justice Shakeel Ahmed. Bench Two will include Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Aqeel Abbasi, while Bench Three comprises Justice Munib Akhtar, Justice Ayesha Malik, and Justice Shahid Waheed.
Bench Four will be formed by Justice Athar Minallah, Justice Irfan Saadat, and Justice Malik Shehzad. Bench Five includes Justice Musarrat Hilali and Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi. Bench Six features Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, Justice Salahuddin Panhwar, and Justice Aamer Farooq. Lastly, Bench Seven will comprise Justice Hashim Kakar and Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim.
Additionally, two constitutional benches, led by Justice Aminuddin Khan, will function between April 7 and 11. A seven-member bench is set to hear cases related to milit courts, while a five-member bench will handle taxation matters.
