Widespread rain and thunderstorms across various parts of the country today, including the federal capital, while extreme heat is expected to continue in most districts of Sindh, according to Pakistan Met Department.

According to Met Office, Islamabad and nearby areas are expected to remain partly cloudy throughout the day, with chances of gusty winds, thundershowers, and hailstorms at isolated locations.

Heavy rain and strong winds are expected in many parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Chitral, Swat, Dir, Abbottabad, Mansehra, and Peshawar, among others.

These weather conditions may also affect several districts in northern and central Punjab like Murree, Rawalpindi, Chakwal, and Jhelum. Cities such as Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, and Multan are also likely to see rain and thunderstorms.

In Lahore, the recent rainfall has helped cool down the weather. The temperature dropped to a minimum of 23°C, with a high expected around 32°C. Winds were recorded at 5 km/h and humidity at 68%. There is a 20% chance of more rain today, and authorities have been put on alert.

While most parts of Sindh will remain very hot and dry, areas like Sukkur, Larkana, and Jacobabad might see some rain and strong winds. In Balochistan, rain is expected by evening in cities such as Quetta, Zhob, and Kalat, along with gusty winds.
