KARACHI: A large number of Karachiites flocked to the Northern Bypass Cattle Friendly Market  on Sunday, turning the bustling cattle market into a recreational hotspot.

With Eidul Azha approaching, the influx of sacrificial animals from across the country has gained momentum. Thousands of cows, bulls, calves, heifers, goats, and camels are becoming the main attraction of the market.

The animals transported from various cities of Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan are being settled in specially designated zones named VIP, VVIP, Punjab, Sindh, KP, and Kashmir blocks, where buyers and spectators alike are gathering in large numbers.

The cities of Sindh are Nawabshah, Kandiaro, Halani, Kandhkot, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Qazi Ahmed, Khairpur, and the cities of Punjab Sheikhupura, Multan, Vehari, Sheikhwahan while beautiful animals of different colors and breeds have also reached cattle market from different farms od Karachi.

The blocks of camels and pink breed goats have also established.

Trader Aleem Abro from Lehri area of Balochistan brought 21 sacrificial animals while  livestock trader Zeeshan from Kandiaro arrived with  Sahiwal and pink breed 27 animals.

Another Trader Tariq Memon from Nawabshah brought 37 animals of Punjabi breed and trader Munawar Ali from Naushahro Feroze brought 5 trucks loaded with beautiful sacrificial animals to the Northern Bypass Cattle Market.

Administrator Battle Market Shahab Ali, while talking to the media, said that Karachiites will  see a new color in Cattle Marker. Karachi’s famous food chains will adorn the Cow Mandi food street where only families are allowed.

Shahab Ali said that the parking fee has been reduced 50 percent and citizens can get a monthly pass for 3200 for a car and 1500 for a motorcycle.

At the time of entry of animals from the Marshalling area, a fee of 4000 is being charged for large animals, in return for which traders have 24-hour security, electricity, fodder and water facilities.

The citizens can come to the Northern Bypass Cattle Friendly Mandi with their families without any fear and enjoy it.

He said that the citizens of Karachi are very fond of sacrificial animals and only Karachiites know how to celebrate festivals with enthusiasm.

The booking of animal stalls is open for 24 hours.
