TOKYO — Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin held talks in Moscow on Thursday, underlining the neighbors’ warm yet complex ties while the U.S. grows frustrated with the Kremlin’s refusal to end the war in Ukraine.
“I am happy about our meeting and sincerely appreciate the opportunity to have a personal, direct communication with you,” Russian state news agency Tass quoted Putin as saying.
