More intermittent rains and gusty winds are expected in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday night, Friday and Saturday.

Isolated heavy rains and hailstorms are also expected during the period.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has reported that moist winds are entering the upper and central regions of the country, while a weather system known as a westerly wave is affecting most areas.

Due to these conditions, rain, gusty winds, and isolated hailstorms are expected in several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Chitral, Swat, Peshawar, Mansehra, and others, starting Thursday night and continuing for the next two days.

Peshawar’s temperature is expected to reach between 36°C and 38°C on Friday and slightly cooler, between 35°C and 37°C, on Saturday.

Though most of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa saw hot and dry weather in the past 24 hours, some upper areas, including Peshawar, received rainfall, offering relief by lowering temperatures.

Rainfall measured in some areas: Upper Dir (11 mm), Lower Dir (8 mm), Balakot (11 mm), Peshawar Airport (10 mm), Kakul (8 mm), Kalam (5 mm), and Saidu Sharif (3 mm).

Dera Ismail Khan was the hottest spot, reaching 40°C, followed by Bannu at 39°C. Peshawar recorded a high of 32°C with 55% humidity in the evening.
