TOKYO — Nissan Motor announced Friday that it has decided to abandon its plan to build a battery plant for electric vehicles in Kitakyushu, southern Japan, as part of a review of EV-related investments amid poor business performance.
Nissan had signed agreements with local governments in Janu regarding the construction of the plant.
