TOKYO — China’s export growth slowed in April, underscoring the early impact of sweeping U.S. import tariffs as Chinese policymakers navigate economic uncertainty.
Total overseas shipments increased 8.1% in dollar terms from the same period last year, down from the 12.4% recorded in March, according to data released by the customs office on Friday.
