TAIPEI — Newly appointed Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan told major suppliers and customers that he wants to be the first to hear any “bad news” they might have and that he will be humble in listening to their feedback as he works to quickly turn around the iconic U.S. chipmaker. 

Speaking in Taipei on Monday, Tan acknowledged a number of issues facing Intel, including a lack of competitiveness in certain products, and vowed to focus on executing the company’s technological roadmap.
