PPP strongly rejects tax on solar panels
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians’ Spokesperson Shazia Marri said that the proposed 18 per cent tax on solar panels is unacceptable, and that the sal and pension increases are inadequate in light of the prevailing inflation.
Reacting to the federal budget, PPP Parliamentarians’ spokesperson Shazia Marri said terms sal and pension increases insufficient amid inflation.
She further criticized the allocation of only Rs. 15 billion for the Rs. 400 billion Hyderabad-Karachi Motorway project, calling it a mockery.
Meanwhile, following the budget proposal to impose an 18% tax on solar panels, retailers have already increased prices, adding further burden on consumers.
