TOKYO — Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Tuesday that Beijing is willing to maintain dialogue with the next U.S. administration to manage differences, a day after President-elect Donald Trump expressed hope that the world’s two largest economies can work together to solve global challenges.
“We hope the new U.S. administration will make the right choice and work with China to eliminate disruptions and overcome obstacles for a stable, healthy and sustainable development of bilateral ties,” Wang said in a statement posted on his ministry’s website.
