SEOUL — South Korea’s interim leader on Monday ordered a complete investigation into the country’s aviation systems following the crash of a Jeju Air Boeing 737-800 the day before that killed 179 of the 181 people on board as it arrived from Thailand.
Acting President Choi Sang-mok, who assumed his position on Friday, presided over a meeting of officials focused on identifying all victims of the accident and providing support for survivors and family members, his office said in a news release.
