TOKYO — Japanese beverage maker Kirin Holdings plans to begin selling health foods incorporating a propriet bacterial strain in Taiwan in 2025 to curb dependence on its mainstay beer business, Nikkei has learned.

Kirin is launching a product that incorporates Lactococcus lactis strain Plasma (LC-Plasma) — a type of lactic acid bacterium — developed with Australian health foods maker Blackmores.
