HONG KONG — The share prices of Chinese tech conglomerate Tencent Holdings and battery maker Contempor Amperex Technology (CATL) fell sharply on Tuesday, after they were added to a Pentagon list of companies with alleged ties to China’s milit.
The Hong Kong-listed shares of Tencent opened 7% lower, while the Shenzhen-listed CATL was down about 5.36% at opening. The stocks later made up some of the lost ground but struggled to maintain momentum.
