WASHINGTON — A small passenger plane crashed in Washington on Wednesday after a collision with a helicopter over the Potomac River, triggering a massive search and rescue operation.
Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, located just minutes from the White House, grounded all flights. “All takeoffs and landings have been halted,” Reagan Airport wrote on X. “Emergency personnel are responding to an aircraft incident on the airfield. The terminal remains open.”
