SEOUL — A South Korean court on Wednesday overturned a lower court’s ruling and found the leader of the main opposition political party not guilty of violating election law — a verdict that if upheld would clear the way for him to run in the next presidential election.
The prosecutors can appeal the ruling, which would bring the case to the Supreme Court, South Korea’s highest legal body.
