TOKYO — Mizuho Financial Group has decided to withdraw from an international alliance of banks committed to combating climate change, joining an exodus of Japanese members from the decarbonization framework.

On Monday, Mizuho notified the Net-Zero Banking Alliance that it will leave the group. The bank said it has achieved the objectives that were set at the time it joined NZBA.
